Private Landlords in Scotland are now required by law to ensure their properties are electrically safe. 

 

• After 1st December 2015 any new tenant must receive an EICR.

• Any existing tenant previous to 1st December 2015 must receive an EICR by 1st December 2016.

• EICR's must be carried out every 5 years or on change of tenancy.

• Any appliances must be PAT tested.
